CSM - Soroptimist International Burlingame/San Mateo

Ruth H. Weston Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a student with education goals in occupational therapy, nursing, medicine or dentistry. The student must have a 2.75 (B-) grade point average or better and major in science (physical or natural), physical education, recreation or pre-physical therapy. This scholarship is given to a student who is full time and continuing their studies at the College of San Mateo. This scholarship honors Ruth H. Weston, President of Soroptimist International of Burlingame/San Mateo from 1968-1969. Mrs. Weston served as Dean at the College of San Mateo and taught physical education there.

Ada R. Beveridge Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a student with a 3.0 (B) grade point average or better majoring in English, Drama, or any of the Humanities. This scholarship is given to a student who is full time and continuing their studies at the College of San Mateo. This scholarship honors Ada R. Beveridge who served as Director of Community Relations at the College of San Mateo and also taught Speech, Drama, and Humanities at the college for 34 years.

Anne Brubaker Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a student in a vocational program at the College of San Mateo who shows promise through success in overcoming obstacles. Must be enrolled as a full time and continuing student. This scholarship honors Anne Brubaker who was the first president of Soroptimist International Burlingame/San Mateo when the club was chartered in 1940.
