CAN - Oscar Siguenza Memorial Scholarship

The purpose of the endowed scholarship is to provide scholarships for District-wide students who:

1. are majoring in one of the following biology, biotechnology, chemistry, health science, life science, mathematics, physics, and pre-pharmacy;
2. demonstrate significant financial need;
3. are from underrepresented populations;
4. indicate that they are planning to transfer to a 4-year institution following their time at SMCCCD, and
5. demonstrates service to the community through volunteerism,
6. This scholarship includes a mentorship component. Students are required to meet with the donor once a semester. The Foundation in consultation with the donor will work together to ensure the student meets with the donor.
